Question:
One of you\'re ealier projects was a Shaker bedside table with breadboard edges which you glued. On subsequent projects you advocated not glueing breadboards for fear of future splitting.Which do you now suggest, or was the bedside table\'s small size the reason for the glue??? Thanks,John Keenan
Answer:
Experience has shown us that gluing the a breadboard edge increases the likihood of spilting the field. We no longer glue the whole edge. We apply just a dab or two near the dowels. Then, if the wood swells or shrinks it won't damage the top. |
