Question:
I have been using a 10" Rigid portable table saw for 6 years. The motor burned up and the cost for replacement is $400 installed. That is what I paid for the saw. As I researched current table top saws I found the same to be true with all. Jet makes the only one I have found that uses drive belts rather than direct drive, but there are quality concerns. Do you have any suggestions for a high quality portable 10" table saw that is not a throw away if the motor burns up. Would love a belt drivensimilar to a contractors saw.
Answer:
You've heard make this reccommendation before but particularly now in these difficult economic times we bet there will be many folks selling items they are not using like power tools. Watch for a good used table saw. A good one never wears out. And do buy a belt driven model.Good luck |
