One of the first projects I built for my basement woodshop was the classic workbench, and it has served me quite well. I’ve made a couple of improvements to accommodate my needs. I made the work surface and tool storage area wider. In the photos, it looks like the workbench might tip over, but it is really quite stable which is a testament to the original design.
