This replaced the one in the house that appeared to have been built by a drunk with a 2 man crosscut saw and a sledge hammer.
It had to pick up the design components of the existing bookcases, which presented a challenge. I built it in 4 pieces; my memory is that there were 96 pieces of moldings, all of which had to fit perfectly. I must have carried the pieces in and out 40 times, checking every addition for fit. They all did in the end.
The finish is primer and 3 coats of semi-gloss enamel.
