Thank you Norm for designing this mobile unit. It’s a wonderful addition to my workshop which has very limited space (size of 1 car garage).
The higher part of the unit holds my miter saw and the lower part my drill press. I was afraid that the higher center of gravity of the drill press would result in the tool tipping over. However, to my surprise, this is not the case. When I roll the unit around, the drill press and miter saw stay nicely in place (even when I roll it outside the shop).
I made 2 minor changes to the design. One, I made the unit 1 inch wider because of the width of my miter saw. And two, I made the drawer with half blind dovetails.
